Our Acting Diploma Programmes
In all 3 programs, we offer access to essential, cutting-edge acting techniques throughout the one year training season. The teaching mentors for all of our core technique classes are seasoned professional teachers who have all taught around the world, and who are all still active as performers.
Significantly, all 3 programs are designed to allow training actors to also consider some job/employment activity, and/or university study:
*Classes for The One Year Full Time Professional Acting Diploma Programme are more time intensive, meeting three times weekly during evenings, and/or during weekend hours; this program asks for more rehearsal hours for the program performance goals. However, many actors in the past have also been able to carry some employment hours at the same time.
*Classes for the Two Year Part Time Professional Diploma Programme meet two times a week for every month of training. There is some additional rehearsal hours urged, expected for performance projects tied to this program.
*Classes for the International Foundational Diploma Programme meet two times weekly. This program offers actors at the beginning of their journey a full season to build a solid technique foundation while possibly carrying employment and/or University at the same time.
Finally, all of our Diploma acting programs are conducted on a “pay as you go” basis. The full fee for an entire training season (see below) will be broken into 5 payments. You only need to pay a flat fee for your program classes taken during each term. 5 terms, 5 payments. To secure your place in any of the programs, we will ask that candidates for each program submit their 1st payment ahead of time as a deposit on your commitment to follow one of the 3 diploma programs.
One-year Diploma Acting Programme
The essential act techniques offered throughout the year: Meisner Technique, Strasberg Method, Comedy Workshop with Improvisation, Lecoq Method, Acting for the Camera, Cultivating Your Actor’s Voice, and The Foundations of Acting with Introduction to Camera technique.
There are Acting for Camera classes to collect and build showreels, and then lots of live stage performance via the Scene Study, Meisner, Lecoq, Strasberg technique classes – with world-class contemporary text – for invited audiences. You will be in class at least 3 sessions per week. Actors must be prepared to rehearse with partners for performance projects outside of class hours.
*The ability to collaborate and work well within a unit is absolutely key. Mulholland provides the program, the class venues, class materials, and the International mentors with world class teach backgrounds.
School year: September 2023 to June 2024; Summer sessions optional. Acceptance is subject to applicants submitting two contrasting “self-taped” monologues (60-90 seconds), a “letter of intent” for your one year goals; please list any advanced academic education, and, any previous actor training. We look forward to you, as best you can, telling us about… you.

Applicants must be at least 18. Students are required to manage their own housing; International students must obtain their own visa accommodation.
A One-Year Acting Program “Diploma of Completion” is granted at the programme’s conclusion in June, 2024.
