Charlie Curilan (instructor, Absolute Beginners) is an actor based in The Netherlands who started his professional career in the original Dutch version of the Broadway hit musical “Miss Saigon.” He has appeared in the popular Dutch TV series “Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden,” “Meiden van de Herengracht,” “A’dam en E.V.A.”, and “JOS”.

He has also been featured in TV commercials, corporate films, and independent films. He joined the cast of the Swedish version of Miss Saigon for the Malmö Opera in Sweden where he performed for a year.

 

He was nominated Best Actor for his performance as “Coach” at the 48HFP short film festival in Rotterdam in 2018. He won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the FilmstarZ Film Festival in Vlissingen, Netherlands, for his role in the short film “Open Wond” in 2019. He has performed in plays and showcase nights by GoGoHeart productions in Amsterdam, and he received his Diploma in Professional Acting from the Mulholland Academy, Department of Acting.
