with André Landzaat.
This class works with each student individually, and at their personal level. The class invites the beginner, intermediate, advanced and returning student to further their acting craft.
You will work on relaxation exercises, learning to release the mental and physical tension from your body, how to control your muscles and lessen your nervous tension, so that it won’t stand in the way of your performances.
There are few, if any, acting teachers on European soil today with the breadth of experience internationally, and then the thousands of hours in the classroom which André Landzaat has dedicated to the process and teachings of Lee Strasberg.
After classes with Lee Strasberg himself at NYC’s Carnegie Hall, André then taught for more than 20 years at the esteemed Actors Studio and the Lee Strasberg Institute, mentoring countless actors who have gone on to work in professional theatre, television, and film. As a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, André has worked with such American greats as Robert de Niro, Shelly Winters and Al Pacino.
There will be a maximum of 8 students admitted to this class. Please submit a resume and a brief letter of intent to gain admittance to this class.
This class is offered at Introductory and Advanced level.
Teacher André Landzaat writes about the classes.
The Lee Strasberg method acting technique focuses on the inner significance and not the outward appearance. You will learn how to use your knowledge of human psychology. It will help you to discover your inner self and you will learn how to control your emotions. You will discover how to go deeper with your emotional freedom and imagination. You will find true life and honesty on stage and in front of the camera. Not will you only grow as an actor, but also as a person. Lee’s technique has been proven successfully by many great actors who have received Academy Awards.
