Learn how to break down a scene and make strong, clear choices for performance, recorded on camera.

A few days before class, students receive a three-page scene. All you need to do in advance is memorise your character’s lines thoroughly.

In class, you present your scene on camera, with a supporting actor reading the other part off camera. David Corbett directs and coaches you through three or four takes, giving adjustments between each one.

At the end of class, the recorded scenes are played back on a TV monitor. You watch yourself and your fellow actors tackle the challenges of the scene, and see the difference before and after each adjustment, with specific improvements visible take by take.

It’s an immediate way to improve your camera acting skills. As you watch yourself on screen, David points out where and why your acting grows stronger from one take to the next.
