I Love Shakespeare

with William Sutton.

I-Love-Shakespeare

Working for four hours each week, we will take on a good sampling of Shakespeare’s plays.

You will be introduced to the language through insults, the characters, their relationships, and the stories.
We will NOT be deep-diving into poetry or poetic language.
That’s a whole other workshop.

Daily we’ll start with a vocal warm up.
Then move onto some insults. Each session built around looking at the selected plays and the conflicts between their characters & relationships.
Each day ends with performances of the plays in synopsis form.

The plays we may work from:
Histories: Richard 2 & Richard 3.
Comedies: Much Ado About Nothing & As You Like it.
Tragedies: Macbeth & Hamlet.
Romances: The Tempest & Pericles.
The Sonnets & Poems.
