This year 2012 we take our Meisner workshop on the road and meet in Italy.
Following a very success two week ‘retreat in Mallorca’ in October 2010, students have asked us to extend the two week sessions.. So, based on demand, we have created a three week session.
A three week ‘swinging door’ event. You may sign up for one week, two, or three weeks.
There is a limited number of places on this Meisner retreat, please sign up early to ensure your place. This workshop will fill up quickly.

The work…
Two classes. A beginners class and an Advanced class.
Beginners. An introduction to the Meisner Technique and explanation of the step-by-step improvisations that follow in the advanced levels. Actors are introduced to the basic repetition exercise (listening and answering) and develop focus and explore what it means to connect with another person.
Advanced students will work from where they are in their training, to their personal next level.
No scene study.
The class is challenging and is designed for the committed pre-professional and professional actor or related industry professional but is also accessible to beginners. (Applicants will be given further information upon registration).
Pre-requisite: None. Open to all, including those wishing to re-fresh or who wish to take it as a stand-alone class. NB: This is a required class for students to advance to Level 2.

Our Meisner in Italy workshop will be at the Palazzo del Maggiore in Northern Italy, just south of French border. if you follow the link you will see amazing photos. Acccommodations can be on site (in the Palazzo where the workshop is held) or in a nearby village. I will add information as it becomes available.
BOOKING DATES: YOU MUST BOOK AS FOLLOWS:
Week I, arrival Saturday 21April, departure saturday 28 April
Week II, arrival Saturday 28 April, departure saturday 5 May
Week III, arrival Saturday 5 May, departure saturday 12 May
Sunday till Thursday intensive. Friday is excursion day, Saturday, change over day.
Italy price.
The price for ‘European’ participants, is 450 euros per week + 19% tax on top of this price. Deposits of 100 euros to be paid in February to hold your place in the class. Closing date for Applications. March 31st.
